Louisiana state block in Mardi Gras colors

(yes, there’s been a bit of Stevie Ray playing in the sewing room lately)

K kindly offered the loan of her machine, so I did this block for #opgivewarmth — although it may get an addition on one or two sides, because I think it’s not quite 12.5″ square as it stands. The dark fabric looks black in the photo, but it’s a deep brown batik with copper highlights.
